Class Meetings & Attendance

This class occasionally will have scheduled online meetings.  Observe schedule for dates.

Mutual Responsibilities

This course is designed to teach you how to create and host courses on MyCEwiki. While you are ultimately responsible for your own learning, you are not alone. Our class constitutes a team where we will be learning from each other. The role of the instructor is to provide the expert coaching to support and assist you on your journey. All of the  exercises, readings, assignments, and policies detailed below have been designed with this purpose in mind.

Course Web Site

This is the course web site. You will need to register with MyCEwiki to be able to edit the wiki and complete coursework. I will post updates to the course schedule and electronic copies of all handouts, assignments, and readings on this site. In addition, students who have enrolled in Wiki: Course Design may sign into MassageEducator.com access additional course materials that cannot be made public on MyCEwiki.

Required Texts

Specific readings are given on the schedule and may be revised. Readings will also be assigned from other sources and will be posted.

Course Description

The purpose of this course is to guide you through the process of building a course on MyCEwiki

Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes

  • Create a Course Header template for your Offerings
  • Create a new course home page
  • Edit content of sample home page
  • Add additional pages to course including People, Materials, Schedule and Help
  • Edit and refine course content

This is an ungraded course.  Below find an example of what may be included for a graded course.

Your work in this course will be assessed in three areas:

Course Heading template                               		140 points
Adding additional pages to tour course      	                150 points
Edit and refine content - course complete			210 points
Total								500 points

94.0-100%		A
90.0-93.9%		A-
86.0-89.9%		B+
82.0-85.9%		B
78.0-81.9%		B-
74.0-77.9%		C+
70.0-73.9%		C
67.0-69.9%		C-
60.0-66.9%		D
≤ 59.9%                 F
